DESIGN

Interior Signature Design: Upholstery plays a unique role in car design. The CX-9 Signature's leather-trimmed interior is available in either Parchment or Deep Chestnut Nappa and includes details such as quilting and piping on the first and second-row seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, Santos Rosewood inlays and a geometric pattern in the aluminum trim.

Second-Row Captain's Chairs: When designing the Mazda CX-9, everyone's comfort was a consideration. Our Signature interior offers spacious 2nd-row captain's chairs with a center console and 6-seat configuration to help elevate every moment together.

  

Exterior Signature Design: An expression of our artful design philosophy, Kodo: "Soul of Motion," is very much alive in the CX-9 Signature. The exterior is highlighted by a Titanium Gray Metallic front grille and 20" alloy wheels with brilliant Silver finish. All elegant elements designed to create an emotional connection.

Mazda's standard i-Activ AWD® and G-Vectoring Control Plus work together, proactively adjusting to changing road conditions. Combined with the responsive Skyactiv®-G 2.5 Turbo engine, the system is designed to create a more invigorating drive.

Standard I-Activ AWD®: Experience an enhanced performance in any weather with Mazda i-Activ AWD®, now standard. It helps constantly monitor changing road conditions and adjusts power sent to each wheel for a more refined ride. When traversing uneven terrain, Off-road Traction Assist optimizes torque distribution and traction control, adding confidence to each drive.

 

G-Vectoring Control Plus: Every aspect is designed to work with you. G-Vectoring Control Plus responds to steering inputs with subtle engine torque and braking adjustments. The system provides enhanced stability for a smoother drive.

TECHNOLOGY

Mazda Connected Services: Remotely start the engine, check vehicle status reports and more through the MyMazda App and Mazda Connected Services, complimentary for 3 years. Emergency services like automatic 911 dialing and roadside assistance are also available. For additional convenience, your vehicle can be equipped with in-car Wi-Fi capabilities.

Remote Start Engine System: Start the engine as well as lock and unlock your door through the app. You can also return to the previously set interior temperature before you even get in. It's comfort and convenience right at your fingertips.

Vehicle Finder: Forgot where you parked your car? The MyMazda App pins your location on its map and provides the exact location of where you parked it, as well as activates the hazard lights and horn to make it easier to find.

 

Vehicle Health and Status: The MyMazda App can notify you when something may need your attention. Find out when your oil, lights or tire pressure should be checked; or when it's time for service - before you get on the road.

Stay Connected: Apple CarPlay™ integration for your iPhone® (shown) allows you to access maps, playlists, contacts and compatible apps on the larger 10.25" full-color display or with your voice through Siri. For Android users, Android Auto™ integration is also available.

Wireless Charging Pad: With our available wireless charging pad, keeping your Qi-enabled smartphone charged has never been easier. Simply place it on the charging pad then go about your daily routine.

SAFETY

I-Activsense® Safety Technology: Each element of the CX-9 is created to inspire a confident drive. It offers a suite of safety technologies designed to alert you to potential hazards and help you avoid collisions-or lessen their impact. Standard features include Advanced Smart City Brake Support with Day and Night-time Pedestrian Detection.

Blind Spot Monitoring: Blind Spot Monitoring detects objects in your blind spots and alerts you with a chime and warning light in the side mirror and Active Driving Display (when equipped). It also warns you of fast approaching vehicles that may enter a blind spot from behind.

Advanced Smart City Brake Support W/ Pedestrian Detection: Advanced Smart City Brake Support with Day and Night-time Pedestrian Detection helps detect vehicles and pedestrians in your path. If an impact is predicted, the system will warn the driver and, if necessary, apply the brakes.

 

Rear Cross Traffic Alert: When backing up, Rear Cross Traffic Alert helps detect a vehicle approaching from the side and promptly alerts the driver with an audible warning, as well as a visual warning, in either side mirror and the Rear View Monitor display.

Mazda Radar Cruise Control: Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go lets you maintain a set speed and minimum following distance from the traffic ahead. If the vehicle you're following reduces speed, even down to a stop, your vehicle is able to slow or stop as needed.

Adaptive Front-Lighting System: This available system is designed to help you see around corners at night. As you turn a corner, the headlights pivot in the direction of your turn, improve visibility and allow you to spot potential hazards ahead. For added safety, automatic on/off LED Headlights with auto height control is standard on all trims.

Smart Braking Systems: Mazda's automatic braking technology includes standard high and low speed systems and an available system that works while in reverse. If an impact is predicted, these systems will warn the driver and, if necessary, apply the brakes.

Lane Departure Warning System and Lane-Keep Assist: When traveling at speeds of 37 mph or higher, the Lane Departure Warning System gives you a combination of audible and visual warnings when it detects that you are about to unintentionally depart from your lane. And with Lane-keep Assist, minor steering corrections are made to help keep your vehicle in its lane.

Driver Attention Alert: Available Driver Attention Alert monitors the driver's steering and throttle inputs and lane position. When it recognizes driving behavior suggesting driver fatigue or decreased attentiveness, it activates a warning sound and displays an alert in the LCD Meter Display.

  

Traffic Sign Recognition: Using the vehicle's front facing camera, the available Traffic Sign Recognition System can actually read certain road signs and display the information in the Active Driving Display, so you can stay aware and informed without taking your eyes off the road. 

High Beam Control: High Beam Control helps the driver see better at night by maximizing opportunities to use the high beams. The system automatically switches to low beams when it detects oncoming traffic and/or a vehicle ahead.
